Jessica is a Santa Cruz based yoga teacher (RYT 500), marriage and family therapist, and lifelong student with over a decade of teaching experience. Her journey with yoga began at age 12 in her hometown of Santa Monica. During high school, she became a regular at Bryan Kest’s Power Yoga studio, attending classes weekly after school. In 2014, Jessica completed her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training with Joan Hyman at YogaWorks Los Angeles, deepening her love for yoga and answering the call to share it with others. In 2017, her journey led her to India, the birthplace of yoga, to connect more deeply with the roots of the practice. In 2018, Jessica completed her 300-hour and Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training at Mount Madonna Center, where she lived for three years, serving in the Ayurveda and Yoga Teacher Training departments. There, she immersed herself in the teachings of Baba Hari Dass and classical Aṣhțāṅga Yoga. Over the years, she has studied with renowned teachers including Maty Ezraty, Annie Carpenter, Janet Stone, Shiva Rea, Tias Little, Jason Crandell, and Patrick Beach.
Jessica brings somatic precision, embodied wisdom, and heartfelt presence into every class. Her teaching blends ritual, self-inquiry, and functional movement into a powerful, purposeful vinyasa flow. Rooted in intelligent sequencing, her classes are dynamic, creative, and grounded, honoring the lineage of traditional hatha-vinyasa while thoughtfully adapting to the needs of modern bodies and minds. Her approach is challenging and welcoming, infused with joy, sweat, depth, and soul. Rooted in yoga philosophy, mythology, Ayurveda, psychology, and the insights of daily life, Jessica’s offerings invite students into meaningful exploration. She encourages freedom of movement and personal expression, empowering students to awaken the inner fire that fosters strength, clarity, and courageous presence in an ever-evolving world.
In Jessica's free time, she loves to tend fire with her partner, gather in community, immerse herself in live music, and dance all night under the stars.
